The road to hell … Is CISPA the new SOPA?

The quality of laws should always be evaluated in light of how they can be abused, rather than how they may serve those whose intentions are and remain good. The Internet reacted strongly against recent attempts in the U.S. to pass the "SOPA" bill. Following the uproar, the U.S. law makers dropped SOPA like a hot potato, but predictably SOPA is back!

SOPA wears a new coat and hat, calls itself CISPA, and its supporters try to assure us that CISPA has nothing to do with SOPA; but as Techdirt reports, CISPA Is A Really Bad Bill. Just consider the myriad ways in which CISPA can be abused, and it becomes clear that H.R. 3523 (CISPA) is not just a poorly written bill, but is almost certainly designed to be abused!
